NatCORR, the National Centre for Outdoor Risk and Readiness, is a collaborative initiative by Outward Bound Australia, built for outdoor practitioners across the country. The mission was genuine: helping the people who run outdoor programs manage risk as Australia’s climate keeps changing.

What NatCORR didn’t have was any way to be seen. No website. No consistent brand. Nothing to hand a funder that said, this organisation is ready. The mission was real. Nobody could find it.

That’s what they came to us for. Here’s how we solved it.

Challenges

NatCORR had the mission. What they didn’t have was three things:

Nothing to Show Funders

No website, no brand, nothing to point to when making the case for support.

No Internal Design or Web Capability

Every asset needed would have to be built by someone else, from nothing.

A Brand That Needed to Work Everywhere at Once

Website, email, social, print, and presentations all needed to look like one organisation, not five different ones.
They’d identified the need. They just needed someone to make it happen.

Our Approach

We designed a four-step plan to solve each of these challenges:

Brand Identity Build:

A full logo set and brand guidelines built from scratch, so every asset from here on carried the same look.

Website Build:

A site built to a specific brief: resource hubs, mailing list sign-up, and the ability to add ticketed events as NatCORR grew.

Templates for Everywhere Else:

Email, social, PowerPoint, and print templates, so the brand held up wherever NatCORR showed up next.

Training and Handover:

Video walkthroughs and a full handover document, so NatCORR’s team could run and update the site themselves.

This ran as a fixed-price project, with NatCORR owning every asset outright by the time it wrapped.
